pfSense with Chris Buechler

Event: Friday, November 16th at 12 Noon ET

Read the IRC Transcript for this session

Book mentioned: pfSense: The Definitive Guide

pfSense began in 2004 as a fork of the m0n0wall project, but focused towards full PC installations rather than the embedded hardware focus of m0n0wall. pfSense also offers an embedded image for Compact Flash based installations. The name was derived from the fact that it helps make the OpenBSD packet-filtering tool pf make more sense to non-technical users.

pfSense is used in about every type and size of network environment imaginable, and is almost certainly suitable for your network whether it contains one computer, or thousands.
